Aerotech will be exhibiting our high-precision positioning systems and components in Booth 1240 at Photonics West 2005. Products to be demonstrated include the FiberMax™, FiberAlign™, and ADRS and ADRT direct-drive rotary stages.

FiberMax™ meets the demanding needs of critical photonic alignment for highly automated, 24/7 production environments. Available with up to six axes of precise motion, FiberMax™ patented noncontact direct-drive technology provides up to 300 picometer linear resolution and 0.027 arc second rotary resolution, and exceptional repeatability and in-position stability.


FiberAlign™ is a photonic alignment system incorporating best-in-class direct-drive and axis control technology. Its modular design permits the selection of the number of axes, the distance to be travelled, and the amount of payload, all at high-speed, resolution, and accuracy. Aerotech offers the FiberAlign 90 (1/3 the volume of FiberAlign 130) and 130 series. Both series’ basic 3-axis model can be extended with additional axes to satisfy the requirement to control motion in 6-axes.

ADRS series rotary stages feature an ultra-low stage profile, reducing the effective working height of the system and thereby minimizing “stack-up” related errors. ADRS stages offer exceptional 6 arc second accuracy, ultra smooth velocity stability, and a clear aperture for product feed through or laser beam delivery.


ADRT series direct-drive rotary stages provide superior angular positioning and velocity control in applications ranging from indexing to high-speed laser machining to precision photonic component inspection. Its low inherent inertia and optimized motor design allow speeds and accelerations that are significantly higher than other competing products, and make the ADRT the ideal solution for applications requiring frequent directional changes.
